F.E.A.R Developers Reveal New PC FPS Thriller Betrayer
Blackpowder Games recently revealed the founding of their new developer studio and the debut of their first gaming property, Betrayer. Developers behind the original F.E.A.R and No One Lives Forever games have come together under a new development studio to offer players a brand new FPS thriller set in an atmospheric game world.
Betrayer is a first-person action adventure game exclusive to the PC, created and self-funded by Blackpowder; a collection of ex-Monolith developers.
“We wanted to get back to crafting games more intuitively,” said Creative Director Craig Hubbard. “There’s a sense of discovery and excitement when you navigate by instinct rather than market research and open yourself up to opportunities that arise during development.”
Betrayer will be joining the Steam Early Access department some time this month. Powered by the latest award-winning Unreal Engine, Betrayer is all set to introduce something a little different to fans of the genre.
