Assassin’s Creed 3: Fastest-Selling Game In Ubisoft History

Ubisoft have just announced that the recent addition to the hugely popular Assassin’s Creed 3 franchise has become the fastest-selling game in the history of the company. Assassin’s Creed 3 has now sold a staggering 7 million copies worldwide, within one month of being released.

The open world setting and action-packed story has attracted millions of players. In total, through the single player missions alone, players have accumulated over 82 centuries of combined gaming time and have performed over 3 billion assassination kills. The records continue to explode into the multiplayer as twice as many have joined when compared to Assassin’s Creed Revelations and over 250 million kills have been logged in over 5 billion multiplayer games.

“We are delighted with the performance of Assassin’s Creed III this Christmas,” said Rob Cooper, UK managing director, Ubisoft. “This is a beautiful and epic game of exceptional quality and we’re pleased that our fans have responded so well to the brand new universe, storyline and game experience.”

There’s still plenty of time to grab your copy of the special edition as stores nationwide still have the added DLC “A Dangerous Secret” available. It’s shaping up to be a great end to the year for Ubisoft as Assassin’s Creed 3 is smashing records and the recently released Far Cry 3 has impressed fans and critics across the globe.
