The Best From San Diego Comic-Con 2012

One of the most exciting annual events in the geek calender, Comic-Con, has come and gone leaving a trail of saddened fans everywhere. But have no fear! Gamer Grub is here to give you a recap on some of the most exciting announcements to come out of San Diego this year.
Sonic Adventure 2 Announcement

In a totally unexpected announcement, SEGA released information on an upcoming remake for the Sonic universe, Sonic Adventure 2. Announced at the 2012 Sonic Boom fan-fest, SEGA provided players with a very brief look at the new HD graphics as well as announcing that the game will be available on both Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. Sonic Adventure 2 is well-known for being the first game to introduce Sonic’s darker counterpart, Shadow the Hedgehog, but it also home to another fan favorite feature, the Chao’s!. That’s right, the Chao Garden will be making a return in the Sonic Adventure 2 remake, pleasing you pet loving fans with that difficult challenge of raising that perfect Shadow clone Chao once again, something I never actually managed to accomplish in the original. More information, including screenshots and a release date will be announced soon, keep an eye on the SEGA website for all the latest.

Halo 4 Limited Edition Console Picture

Easily one of the most anticipated titles coming this year, Halo 4, will launch with an exciting limited edition console bundle featuring a variety of enticing goodies. Included in the Limited Edition Console will be a custom designed Xbox 360, including two exclusive control pads, a staggering 320GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, exclusive DLC content for Halo 4 and a couple of Halo 4 exclusive modification to the “ring of light” and Xbox Guide buttons.

The Halo 4 Limited Edition Console Bundle is available to pre-order right now and will arrive in stores on Halo 4 launch day, November 6th 2012. The price at launch, and for current pre-orders is £269.99/$420.00, quite a steep price for a console in its final years.

Another highly anticipated release for this year, but this time from Sony, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. A game filled to the brim with intense beat ’em up action featuring iconic Playstation characters from across the last decade or two. Five videos were released at Comic-Con, but we’ll have the best one up here shortly.
